The story of Jack

Friday, April 29, 2005
We have had a new addition to our little family. He is 18 months old, has black, brown, and grey hair, has floppy little ears, and long black tail. His name is Jack and he is a dachshund, right now you are thinking dachshund hummmm?? As in wiener dog, and you are correct we got us a wiener dog. Never really thought I would own a wiener dog, but I guess that's what five years of marriage and one little girl will do to you. I always thought I should get a big lab or an Alaskan Husky, you know something manly huh huh huh (grunt). But I guess I will settle for the little wiener. He is pretty cool, we got him from some people we know who had a lot of changes going on in their lives, so they pretty much did all the hard work. He is already housebroken, and he has been clipped. They said that he slept in a laundry basket, so we brought him home and put him in a laundry basket that first night. I can't believe it he won't even get out of the basket unless you tell him to. Well enough about Jack, I will get some pics up soon. Maddie loves him by the way.

Maddies newest words are obviously Jack, Puppy, and BooBoo (due too a recently scraped knee).

Everything else is cool just work, classes and more work. We have a petting zoo to go to tomorrow, hopefully it won't be to cold. We went to an auction last weekend and bought us a kitchen table, the Fisher Price table was a little difficult to fit the whole family around. Well sorry it has been two or three weeks since I last blogged, but I will try to do better. I am going to get some pics up this weekend that's a promise, I think.

Summer is here (maybe)!!

Saturday, April 09, 2005
It was a great Saturday! The weather was perfect, and the girls and I took full advantage by going to garage sales all morning, and working and playing outside in the afternoon. The down side is that they are predicting severe weather for tomorrow, so worse case scenario I get to stay around the house and watch Tiger try to win the Masters (fingers crossed). I guess it is getting to be that time of the year here in Oklahoma.

I am finally getting around to posting the pics from Easter. We went to western Oklahoma this year and spent Sunday with my wife's family. We all had fun eating way tooooooo much, hunting Easter eggs, and flying kites. Check out the pics below!

Maddies new word is ----->>>> Puppy! (there is a long story behind this and I may or may not share it some day, let's just say it involves a young K9 and an "I TOLD YOU SO").

Waiting for summer!

Thursday, April 07, 2005
I haven't blogged in quite a while so please forgive me. Everything is great in the constantly changing weather of Oklahoma. This is the first year I am actually excited for the weather to get warmer. I have taken on a new project at work and am keeping myself extremely busy, between that and teaching APICS classes.

Some people have been asking what these APICS classes are about so here is a link to the OKC chapter and a link to the APICS page. APICS has been great for me, I have gained in-depth knowledge of supply chain management, materials management, and inventory management through the classes, certification and networking opportunities I have been exposed to through this organization. Just a little info if anyone was wondering!

Maddie is climbing like a little Monkey! The other day her mother found her sitting on top of the desk eating the Easter candy she knew we were hiding up there. We had to move all of the stuff around the desk so that she couldn't climb anymore.

Maddies new word is ---->> (anything you say) most recently Ike(our dog), horse, shoes, yucky, and owww!

I will try to post some pictures from Easter this weekend!
