Ahh Memories of the PUMP!

Friday, February 11, 2005
Reebok is bringing it back! I can remember when I got my first pair in the eighth grade. I went to school, and when we hit the basketball court I said, "Hold on, I have to Pump Up!". I proceded to bend down and squeeze the big basketball on the tougne of my sneakers. I thought I was the coolest kid on the planet with my Reebok Pumps.

Well guess what I am thinking about being the coolest again, because reebok just announced the return of the Pump. The Pump 2.0 doesn't look quite as chessy as my eighth grade counterparts. I really do think that they could end up working. The pump is in the sole of the shoe now and inflates while you step, with a release valve at 5psi.

Hmm! Now if I can convince my wife!!

The Kitchen is done! (well almost)

Monday, February 07, 2005
We finally finished the kitchen this weekend. Well, kinda. We only have a little trim left to do and then we will be done! The glueless laminate floor looks great! Joe and I had a good time putting it down all day on Saturday. We weren't very fast, but we sure were good. It really did turn out better than I had expected.

The Duck Jerky turned out good, at least I thought so.

More Duck Hunting Success

Wednesday, February 02, 2005
We doubled last weekends hunt with 12 birds on Sunday. We had a great time, and I wasted a lot of shells. We decided to mount a mallard drake each, kind of as a right of passage for our first mounts. We cleaned the rest and the duck jerky is finishing up as I type. Check out the pictures here http://duckhunt05.blogspot.com/ . I will let you know how the jerky turns out, I have high hopes for it.

After two weekends of fun and duck hunting, I have the honor of putting down a new kitchen floor this weekend. My father-in-law is going to come and help. We bought a glueless laminate and I am anxious to see how it works and looks when we are done. Maybe I will post some pics of the kitchen when it is completed.

I have been really busy the past week with my new job and all, so I havn't had much time to post. Ashley finally got her new van, and I think she likes it. Maddie is saying new words everyday now, it is amazing how fast she is learning. My new job is great!

We went Duck Hunting again on Sunday and shot twelve birds between the three of us, we had a great time. I will post some pictures soon.
