Homespun Blogger Symposium XXVIII
MajorDad1984 asked the question on the Homespun Blogger Symposium XXVIII:
_______________________________________________________
This week saw terrorism raise it's ugly head in London killing more than 50 people, wounding over 700.
Based on this recent attack... do you feel that we're winning, losing, or holding our own in fighting the Global War on Terrorism(GWOT)? (Hint: The answer may be none of the above.)

I understand that there are certain members of the media and the left who would want us to look at the current situation and think that we could be losing the war. I feel the keyword that is sometimes missed is WAR. If you think back at all other wars in history, you realize that being at war will mean loss of life and the loss of certain battles. I think that this incident as horrible as it was, is a case where we lost this certain battle. The war is not over and I would say we are definitely not losing. The fact that there haven't been any further attacks on U.S. soil will attest to this. War never ends overnight and this war which is unlike any ever fought may never be won or lost. The moment we try to claim victory and pull back or let our guard down, will be the moment that Americans should be concerned. So we should be optimistic and full of resolve as we continue to fight the Global War on Terrorism.
Thanks go out to MajorDad1984 for the question.
